US H-1B Visa Applications can now be submitted

If you wish to submit an H-1B Visa petition with a start date of 1 October 2005 or later you may submit an application from today 1 April 2005. However, you should not submit applications under the additional 20,000 quota over and above the quota for the last fiscal year until such time that the USCIS has announced full details of the regulations to come under the additional quota.

It is expected that full details of the requirements to come under the additional quota will be announced in the next few days. If you can come under the additional quota you will will be able to put an earlier start date than 1 October 2005.
