Certificates of sponsorship are allocated by the UK Border Agency to allow a UK-based business to bring in foreign nationals for the purpose of employment under the Tier 2 visa scheme.
The UK grants certificates of sponsorship to employers who wish to hire non-EEA nationals, mainly under Tier 2 of the UK's points based immigration system.
