UK - SAWS quotas to be reduced under immigration review

With the EU enlargement date looming, Prime Minister Tony Blair announced plans to review UK immigration policy. Quotas would be reduced under the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Scheme (SAWS) intended for low-skilled workers. more »

UK - Workers Registration Scheme for new EU members

14 April 2004
From 1 May anyone from the eight accession countries of Central and Eastern Europe will have to register with the Home Office when they take up a job and begin working. The Scheme is intended to remain in place for five years, pending a review after two years. more »

The Australian Government announced an increase in the pass mark for the General Skilled-Independent visa category for migration to Australia from 115 to 120 points. more »

NZ - Working Holiday Scheme announced with US

The NZIS has announced a new Working Holiday Scheme that allows young citizens of the United States to travel to New Zealand to holiday and work to supplement their travel for a period of up to 12 months. more »
