New Zealand business immigration attracts $416 million

Almost half a billion dollars in investment capital flowed into New Zealand through its business immigration scheme, according to Immigration Minister Jonathan Coleman.

The scheme has been operating for almost a year and half. According to Coleman, the scheme makes it easier for people to invest money in New Zealand without compromising the security and integrity of the immigration system.

More than $100 million has been transferred into New Zealand and invested in various businesses and other ventures, with another $133 million approved for funds transfer.

An additional $181 million is expected after applications from investors are processed.

Investment immigration visa schemes are popular with a number of countries around the World. Other examples of business immigration schemes include those in the UK, United States, and Australia.

Governments attract overseas investment by offering fast-track immigration schemes that allows investors to live and work in their country.
