If the applicant is already in Spain with a residence the the work permit application is generally lodged at one of the following offices:
-
The Foreigners’ Office (Oficinas de Extranjeros)

-
The Office of Work and Immigration (Área de Trabajo e Inmigración)

-
The Central Office of Immigration (Dirección General de Inmigración)
If the applicant is not in Spain then the Spanish Consulate in his/her home country will accept the application.
Once the work permit application is approved, the candidate will need to make a residence visa application in their usual country of residence. The candidate will probably need to present a police clearance certificate and an original birth certificate to be granted this visa, so it is worthwhile assembling these documents in advance.
