Working Holiday Maker Programme for UK citizens

If you are aged between 18–35 and have a UK citizen passport and are enrolled as a student in the UK, you may be eligible for a 3-12 month working holiday maker visa for Canada.

Do not delay if you wish to work in Canada and do not have a Canadian employer to sponsor you for a work permit. There is an annual quota on the number of these work visas available to UK citizens.

To be granted the 12 month visa you will need to show that you have available funds for food and accommodation and other travel expenses of at least £500 in addition to your airfare.
