Skilled Worker Immigration - Restricted Occupations

Citizenship and Immigration Canada may decide to have a list of restricted occupations where they have decided that there are already enough skilled workers in these occupations in Canada. If you have experience in a restricted occupation then you cannot use this work experience to gain points under the skilled worker immigration category:

• You cannot use this experience to meet the minimum work experience requirements.
• You also cannot use this experience to gain points under Factor 3: Work Experience.

Fortunately, at the current time there are no restricted occupations.
