The UK Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP) has been very successful since it was introduced on 28 January 2002. On 7 November 2006 the points requirement for HSMP (The Highly Skilled Migrant Programme) went up to seventy-five points and a number of other significant changes were made.

Qualification* (Maximum 50 points)

HSMP qualifications requirements
You will gain 30, 35 or 50 points for your qualifications. If you can show an equivalent qualification as verified by NARK this is also acceptable.

PhD - 50 points Masters Degree (eg MA, MSc or MBA) or Professional Level Qualification (eg Chartered Accountant) - 35 pointsA Bachelors Degree (eg BA, BSc) - 30 pointsNone of above - 0 points

Earning Power* (Maximum 45 points)

You will come under different points scoring criteria depending on the following

Please state below recent earnings in UK Currency. You will gain 5 to 45 points under this HSMP category depending on earning power. Please go to the international currency convertor if you wish to convert to UK currency.

Income over last months in UK Currency (if you are a student for the months before you became a student).

Work Experience* (Maximum 5 points)

	You gain points under earning power and at least GBP of your income was earned in the UK.
	Not Applicable

Age* (Maximum 20 points)

If you are under 34 years of age you will gain points based on age.

29 or under - 20 points30 or 31 - 10 points32 or 33 - 5 points34 or older - 0 points
