Tier 1 Visa (General)

This scheme officially ended on 6 April 2011. The UK Border Agency has stopped processing applications for Tier 1 (General) for people outside of the UK.If you want to come and work in the UK now, it is possible that a Tier 2 (General) visa will be the right one for you. To qualify for a Tier 2 (General) visa, you will need to have an offer of employment from a UK employer.
While you can no longer apply for a Tier 1 (General) visa, existing Tier 1 (General) visa holders may be able to apply for an extension. If you would like to apply for an extension to an existing Tier 1 (General) visa, please fill out a Tier 1 General Extension assessment form
