Please note that the SBS currently only applies to nationals from Bulgaria and Romania. The programme was scheduled to be phased out by 31 December, 2006, but was retained for both nations upon their accession to the European Union on 01 January, 2007.
Key Facts:
- Once the work permit is approved you must apply for entry clearance at a British Embassy or Consulate in your Country of residence or citizenship before coming to the UK.
- Please note that you are not allowed to bring a spouse and dependents to the UK under the sector based work permit scheme.
